Job Summary

Under direction from the Beverage Shift Managers, responsible for the day-to-day operation of this unit, ensuring the utmost in Guest Service. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervise beverage day-to-day operations as directed by the Beverage Shift Managers.
  • Ensure that all beverage outlet areas are maintained at a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Stock orders and stock control procedures.
  • Cash handling, supervision and checking procedures.
  • Setting standard of health and hygiene and service delivery.
  • Ensure excellent guest service delivery.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires strong leadership and motivational skills.  Will interact with various levels of staff, management, government officials, and the public. 
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; grooming standards, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Qualifications

Must possess a pleasant voice and a cooperative and happy personality. This includes tactful treatment of irate persons. Ability to develop and maintain a pleasant and effective working relationship with staff and guests.  Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to plan work schedules and assign duties, ability to provide or arrange for training.  Ability to understand, follow and enforce safety procedures. Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.  Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies and materials. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow and operating procedures.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Five (5) years restaurant/bar experience or three (3) years in restaurant management.

 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES & REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency. Certified Food Handler Card required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Tact and diplomacy are essential in all cases.  Ability to interpret documents such as rules and regulations, instruction and procedure manuals.  Fluency in English is required. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, ratio and percentages. 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Must reason with people effectively yet cordially. Professional demeanor and optimism are essential. Must cope with a fast-paced work environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position involves functioning in a kitchen environment. This work involves limited manual labor, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The team member must have the ability to hear and speak.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

 

WORKING HOURS:   

Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
