Job Summary

Responsible for development, implementation, management and evaluation of Promotions, Morongo Rewards players, and revenue tracking programs.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manages activities to promote the casino to the general public. May include direct mail, telemarketing, advertising, publicity, community relations, and special events
  • Designs promotions and monitors overall performance of Morongo Rewards
  • Executes promotions on the casino floor, through the online player tracking system and tracking its success
  • Assists in the implementation of promotional programs designed to attract and retain large groups of new and existing guests to the casino, as well as recover “inactive” guests
  • Maintains relationships with known players and develops relationships with potential players
  • Grows database for the Marketing Department to support the casino’s direct marketing efforts and increases player tracking of casino guests. Meets daily, monthly and quarterly signup goals to achieve carded play goals
  • Manages data integrity in regards to Promotions team members input into Synkros
  • Delivers marketing activity within agreed budgets
  • Manages and maintains overtime and FTE hours according to company goals
  • Ensures proper staffing and scheduling to meet business demands
  • Oversees complimentary issuance by Promotions team members to ensure comp guidelines are met
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requires strong leadership and motivational skills. Will interact with various levels of staff, management, government officials, and the public. 
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Provides timely feedback and evaluations to team members.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; grooming standards, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of advertising, promotions, entertainment design, special events, direct mail, player tracking and public contract. Team leader and innovator relating to marketing concepts. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Must be competent with various PC based software programs, especially in database and spreadsheet programs. Ability to tactfully and diplomatically interact with the public and staff. Must possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics. Must possess a high regard for guest service and team member relations

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business, Marketing or related field and five (5) years experience in Casino Marketing, with an emphasis on casino player’s clubs and promotions preferred, with the ability to handle high volume, fast-paced environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Exceptional reading, writing, interpersonal and public speaking skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical reports, general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, rates, ratio, proportions and percentages. 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to apply legal, regulatory and procedure doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

 

WORKING HOURS:

Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require Team Members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
