The self-inspector distinction conveys a total sense of trust in the GRA’s ability, dedication to guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and work ethic. For this reason, self-inspectors will be selected by the Executive Housekeeper. However, those selected must also pass a written test to demonstrate knowledge of the GRA and Inspector functions. Prior to this test, the Selected GRA will be provided with study material and preparation time. Due to the independence and enormous amount of trust placed with self-inspectors, this test must be passed with a score of 95% or higher. Those who score lower than 95% will not qualify for the self-inspector title or the pay differential.
With the approval of the Executive housekeeper and based on continued job performance, a re-test may be scheduled for 30 days after a test result lower than 95% for up to two repeat attempts. Subsequent tests may be scheduled in 90 day increments.
