Supervise the operation of slot machines and performance of slot floor staff during assigned shift in compliance with Slot Department Policy & Procedures, ensuring 4-Star/4-Diamond guest service is provided to Slot players within assigned area.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must possess the ability to act in a leadership capacity within a fast paced and goal oriented environment. Requires tact and diplomacy in dealing with the public and staff and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information. Requires knowledge of various types of Slot Machines, Video Poker, Keno and Class II Bingo and Video Lottery Terminals. Must be competent with various PC based software programs and possess excellent business sense and high professional ethics.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) year of progressive supervisory experience in slot operations is essential to this position. An equivalent combination of prior slot experience and closely related supervisory experience may provide a qualified background.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Position requires strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills. Must have the ability to assist guests and team members verbally in English, write reports and correspondence, as well as interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to resolve guest and/or team member disputes according to departmental procedure, using good judgment to decide the correct course of action, requesting assistance from the shift manager when needed. May require light troubleshooting of machines’ bill acceptors and cash-out printers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand and walk during an 8-hour shift. Team member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and use hands to manipulate and feel. To transact with guests the team member must have the ability to hear and speak and see up close and across the assigned area. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels, dim to moderate lighting, is often crowded and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
