Job Summary

The Promotions Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating promotional programs designed to enhance player engagement and drive casino revenue. This role oversees the Morongo Rewards program, ensuring effective implementation and tracking of promotions to attract new guests, retain existing players, and re-engage inactive ones. The Promotions Manager collaborates with various departments to develop marketing strategies, manage player data, and optimize promotional activities while maintaining budgetary and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute innovative promotional strategies to enhance casino visibility and guest engagement.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives, including direct mail campaigns, telemarketing, advertising, publicity, community outreach, and special events.
  • Design, implement, and monitor Morongo Rewards promotions to maximize player participation and program effectiveness.
  • Manage the execution of promotions on the casino floor and through the online player tracking system, evaluating their success.
  • Assist in the creation of promotional programs aimed at attracting new guests, retaining existing players, and re-engaging inactive customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential players to enhance guest loyalty.
  • Expand and manage the player database to support targeted marketing efforts and meet carded play goals.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of promotional data entered by team members in the Synkros system.
  • Oversee the allocation of marketing budgets, ensuring promotional activities align with financial objectives.
  • Manage team scheduling and staffing to meet operational demands efficiently.
  • Monitor and regulate the issuance of complimentary rewards by the Promotions team to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall marketing and casino operations.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of advertising, promotions, special events, direct mail campaigns, and player tracking systems.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement innovative marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in database management, spreadsheet programs, and other marketing-related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess promotional effectiveness and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and fostering a positive team environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in casino marketing, with a focus on player clubs and promotions.
  • Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced environments or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the general public. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with staff and guests. Skill in operating standard office equipment. Must reason with people effectively yet cordially. Professional demeanor and optimism are essential. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.

 

WORKING HOURS:

Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
