Provides independent oversight and review of casino and non-gaming activities and financial transactions. Develops or assists to develop accounting entries and practices through the use of analysis and complex computer tools.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be assigned lead Audit responsibilities and provide functional direction and guidance to 2-3 other Casino Auditors.
Must have the ability to perform under frequent time constraints and the flexibility to adapt work hours to the area being audited. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. Two (2) year associate degree in business, accounting, economics or similar field is required. Four (4) year bachelor degree in business, accounting, economics or similar field is preferred. Experience in accounting, auditing or other financial operations can substitute for education at the discretion of finance department management and human resources.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Exceptional reading, writing and public speaking skills in US English are important to the successful conduct of this position. Must be ability to read, analyze and interpret technical reports, general business periodicals, professional journals or governmental regulations. This position requires the SKA's to write reports and business correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
These positions require the SKA's to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. These positions required the SKA's to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, rates, ratio, proportions and percentages. Must be able to apply basic statistics, develop and apply statistics in reports and analysis.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. These positions require the SKA's to apply legal, regulatory and procedure doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations. These positions require the SKA's to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The team member frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work various shifts as assigned and arrive at the job rested and have the ability to maintain alertness and concentration during the shift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a fast paced work environment and the position requires the ability to cope with it. The casino environment has moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment.
WORKING HOURS:
Because we are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, most positions require flexibility in scheduling and may require team members be available for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events. A typical workweek and normal work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include scheduled shifts Monday through Sunday. Position may require overtime.
