Job Summary

The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing the full recruitment lifecycle for Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, with a strong focus on Applicant Tracking System (ATS) administration, applicant sourcing, recruitment reporting, and social media recruitment strategies. This position plays a key role in driving talent acquisition efforts through effective online job postings, digital advertising, and data-driven sourcing initiatives. The Recruiting Specialist ensures that all recruitment activities reflect Morongo’s brand, service standards, and commitment to hiring excellence while providing an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Administers, maintains, and optimizes the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and employment regulations.
  • Develops and maintains recruitment dashboards, reports, and metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and overall recruitment performance.
  • Proactively sources applicants through multiple channels, including job boards, professional networks, social media platforms, referrals, and direct outreach to attract diverse and qualified talent.
  • Analyzes recruitment data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement, enhance sourcing strategies, and support informed decision-making.
  • Creates, monitors, and updates job requisitions and postings across multiple job boards, the company website, and social media platforms.
  • Develops and executes digital recruitment marketing campaigns using platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, and Instagram to promote job opportunities and strengthen employer branding.
  • Partners with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, refine job descriptions, and ensure recruitment strategies align with departmental goals.
  • Coordinates interview scheduling, candidate communication, and follow-up to deliver a smooth and professional hiring process.
  • Designs and publishes creative recruitment content such as digital flyers, videos, and social media posts to increase applicant traffic and brand visibility.
  • Assists in organizing and attending job fairs, on-site hiring events, and community outreach initiatives to attract qualified candidates.
  • Ensures all recruiting activities, data management, and documentation are compliant with company policies, Tribal regulations, and applicable employment laws.
  • Collaborates with HR team members to support onboarding and other talent acquisition programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide training or guidance to new HR team members or interns.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) with the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and generate detailed recruitment reports and metrics.
  • Proven experience in proactive applicant sourcing using job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting recruitment data to evaluate performance and inform strategic improvements.
  • Skilled in developing and executing recruitment strategies using job boards, social media, and digital advertising platforms.
  • Strong digital marketing and content creation skills for promoting job openings and enhancing employer branding.
  • Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with candidates, hiring managers, and HR colleagues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a generalist HR role with significant recruiting responsibilities.
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms (UKG Pro or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

  • Tool Operation: Regular use of computers, software applications, and standard office equipment.
  • Visual Acuity: Requires close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus while reviewing data and documents.
  • Working Conditions: Regularly works in both office and casino environments, with exposure to moderate to high noise levels and a smoking environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.

                                   

WORKING HOURS:

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
